Lunch and Learn: African Diaspora Ministry in the Diocese of Toronto

We are experiencing significant numbers of newcomers to Canada from many countries in Africa, including Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, and more. Many of them are finding their way to parishes in all parts of the Diocese, and many are Anglicans, or have a connection with the Anglican Church.

On behalf of Congregational Development and Mission, we are extending an invitation to clergy to discuss this experience and how we can be places of hospitality, connection, and inclusion in this season of ministry.

If this is something that you’re noticing in your parish, we’d love to include you. Questions considered might be: What are you seeing in your ministry? What are we learning, or need to learn? What resourcing and support do we need to be considering as church?

We look forward to a stimulating time of sharing, discussion, and mutual discernment!
