Social Justice and Advocacy

The Social Justice and Advocacy Consultant, in conjunction with the Social Justice and Advocacy Committee, works at the diocesan level to focus the Diocese’s advocacy work on three areas:

  • poverty reduction
  • affordable housing and homelessness
  • environmental issues

They also work with other dioceses, both provincially and nationally, and with ecumenical and interfaith coalitions and community organizations to speak out on social justice concerns that affect many people in our communities.
